We are excited to open our 2022 programme with Kaouther Ben Hania‘s Academy-Award nominated THE MAN WHO SOLD HIS SKIN (L’homme qui a vendu sa peau). The film, by the director of BEAUTY AND THE DOGS, creatively examines exile and the world of contemporary art.

ABOUT THE FILM
Sam Ali, a sensitive and impulsive young Syrian, flees his country for Lebanon to escape the war. In order to get to Europe and live with the love of his life, he agrees to have his back tattooed by the world’s most sultry contemporary artist. But as he transforms his body into a prestigious work of art, Sam discovers that his decision has come at the cost of his freedom.
