May 10: SHADES OF RED (Short Film Programme) | Nigerian Premiere

5pm | Sunday, May 10, 2026. | Alliance Française Lagos, 9 Osborne Road, Ikoyi | Free Entry.

Ahead of World Menstrual Hygiene Day (May 28), Screen Out Loud‘s 2026 programme kicks off with the Nigerian premiere of three award-winning short films CYCLE (Döngü); A LITTLE BAG FOR ME, and JANE AUSTEN’S PERIOD DRAMA.
All three films promote awareness around menstrual health education and period care by highlighting a range of related issues including but not limited to girl child education, misinformation, and the absence of support for young girls and women from their first through to their subsequent periods.
There will be blood, but there will also be humour and much-needed enlightenment dispersed sharply and succinctly.
We look forward to seeing you come Sunday, May 10 at Alliance Française Lagos/Mike Adenuga Centre for a unique cinematic experience. Screening starts at 5pm prompt (doors open at 4.30pm). Tell a friend to bring a friend and a friend of a friend!

This screening is organised in partnership with the Alliance Française Lagos and with the generous support of the filmmakers.
